Allow me to (re)introduce myself my name is B! I know I know mad corny but this is my debut post and I would just like to say the timing couldn't possibly be better. With a much anticipated 11th studio album dropping in just a few days by the king of hip hop, Mr. Jay-Z, I actually have something to talk about!(can't help but think of Rush Limbaugh when I say Mr. Jay-Z and LOL)

Anywho, so I'll admit I was expecting fire works to go off around me before hearing the tracks that leaked out initially and then expecting even more with the tracks to follow but, I think because we expect so much from Hov we might have set the bar too high. Just like any classic album that I listen to today, I had to listen a few times and really get to know it. Catching brilliance in the lyrics I obviously missed in the first few listens and then really getting hooked on the production on several tracks. I allowed myself to appreciate what is and always will be the smart, timeless, consistent, talented, cool, calm, collected and ALWAYS classy Jigga. Someone thats lyrically effortlessly genius and someone that knows how to pick his collaborations. The only rapper to re-write history without a pen, Jay-Z is a grown ass man and his "blueprints" are inspiring and positive. He brings that "I did it" attitude to his music with a swagger that no one else has and probably never will. Ok enough jocking Jay-z jocking Jay-z lol. . .lets get down to the album!

Lets face it! there are very few, if any, artists that I can say I love every track on every album so to say that I personally think at least 7 out of the 15 tracks on BP3 is a classic, ya boy did his thing for sure. This album definitely gets my respect. Track #3,4,5 are indisputably classics. D.O.A and Run this Town are beasts and Alicia's voice on Empire State of Mind sends chills down my spine. There's no way any New Yorker can have trouble falling in love with this track. Venus vs Mars is such a banger but I personally have Off That on repeat in my car like a crazy obsessed Timbo/Hov/Drake fanatic. That track just makes me wana drive 120 mph blasting it with the windows down over and over and over again! The rest of the album is aight with a few bangers. Hate with Kanye-pretty dope especially because Kanye comes fully equipped with his own sounds effects on his verse which I thought was tight . Reminder-also aight. Forever?? Insane!!! What a track to sample. I don't know what sends more chills down my spine, Forever or Empire State. Love that he put it last because it really ends off an amazing piece of work with an amazing track the induces very real emotions. Isn't that what making music is all about? making the listener feel a certain way? Hov, you will always be forever young and forever the best at what you do! Kudos to Jigga <3
